The sweetest UX-Design

About the Client

Almost 2 years ago, the „House of Läderach“ (HoL) opened in Bilten at the foot of the Glarus Alps. Since then, visitors have been able to take a look behind the scenes of chocolate production. In addition to the tour, the House of Läderach also has a Factory Store. Here, tasting is expressly encouraged. Chocolate lovers can also discover the wide variety of Läderach products on site and purchase them at attractive prices. A special highlight is the walk-in atelier, which allows guests to create their own individual chocolate bar, complete with personal decoration.

About the Project

The world of experience of the traditional Swiss chocolate manufacturer is almost as extensive as its chocolate range. There’s a lot to discover, but it’s hard to find on the website. Therefore, the different activities should be made more accessible through a structured and clear user experience.

After extensive UX research and intensive strategy work, a modern website design was created that makes a visit to the „House of Läderach“ an experience already on the screen. A user-centered, update-related and intuitive filter system enables a targeted search for activities. With a clear structuring of the different categories and subcategories of the offers, we lead the user more quickly to a booking decision. Implemented, the newly aligned website achieves a significant improvement in the areas of bounce rate, loading speed, responsiveness and clearly higher booking rates. In view of the success achieved, the client subsequently asked us for suggestions for the UX of their global website.
